The 15th and final round of the FIA World Rally Championship is now taking place in December instead of late November. This change has been made so as to avoid potential clashes with events that are happening at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium.

A walk around town starting at 10:30pm, carrying flaming torches and re-enacting the tradition of Mari Lwyd where a horse's skull is carried on a pole from house to house while rhymes and songs are chanted. The walk returns to the town square in time for the midnight celebrations.
